NHS waits for cancer care and planned ops worsen

Only one trust has hit all its targets over the past year NHS waiting times for cancer treatment, planned operations and A&E have worsened across the country. England, Wales and Northern Ireland have not hit one of their three key targets for 18 months. Scotland has hits its A&E target three times in the past year. Baroness Harding has refused to give up her private medical cover Baroness Dido Harding, who is set to become the new head of NHS Improvement, has told MPs that demonising private healthcare would be wrong, after refusing to give up her private health insurance. The former TalkTalk chief executive dismissed calls from MPs to relinquish her use of private healthcare when she becomes chair of the NHS’ financial regulator.
